Terms of Service: Monee Offline

1. Agreement
By using Monee Offline you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use it.
2. What Monee Offline is
Monee Offline is a personal budgeting application. It records accounts, transactions, budgets and categories that you enter or confirm, and shows you what they add up to. It runs entirely on your device and does not connect to any server.
It never moves money. It does not hold funds, make payments, initiate transfers or connect to your bank to act on your behalf. It is a record of money you have already moved.
It is not financial advice. Nothing in the app is a recommendation about what to spend, save or invest. Figures shown are derived from what has been recorded and may be incomplete or wrong if what was recorded was. Exchange rates come from a table built into the app and from rates you enter, and may be out of date. Check anything that matters against your bank.
3. Your data, and what we cannot do
Your ledger is stored only on your device. We never receive it, so we cannot recover it if the device is lost, reset or broken, if the app is uninstalled, or if you forget the passcode protecting it.
Export a backup file from More → Your data and keep it somewhere you control. It is the only recovery path. Backup files are not encrypted, so keep them as carefully as you would a bank statement.
4. Your content
Your ledger is yours. We claim no ownership of it and no right to use it, and we never see it. You are responsible for having the right to record whatever you record.
5. Acceptable use
Do not:
- Break the law with it, or use it to launder money or disguise proceeds of crime.
- Use it to read or record another person’s messages without their permission.
- Resell it, or distribute modified copies presented as Monee.
6. Updates
Monee Offline is offered as it is. It is updated only through the App Store and Google Play, and features may change or be withdrawn in a later version. An update never collects data this version does not; if that ever changed, it would come with new terms and a new privacy policy first.
7. No warranty
To the fullest extent the law allows, Monee Offline is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for lost or corrupted data, including data lost with a device or an uninstall when no backup was kept. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law permits.
9. Paid features
Monee Offline is free to use today. If paid features are introduced, their price and terms will be shown before you are charged, through the store you installed it from, and nothing you have already recorded will be locked behind payment.
10. Ending it
You can stop at any time. More → Your data → Delete everything removes your ledger from the device, and uninstalling the app removes everything it stored. There is no account to close.
11. Changes
These terms may change. The date at the top changes with them, and material changes will be surfaced in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Monee Offline after that means you accept the new terms.
